Hearing Information

The United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern District of Texas provide online hearing calendars to help the public locate scheduled court proceedings. Court calendars are interactive and display schedule information in real time. The schedules are provided for the convenience of the public but are subject to change at any time without notice. Inclusion or omission of any matter from a calendar does not, by itself, have any effect on notice to parties.

Find a Hearing

To find a hearing, use the online, interactive calendars. Hearing information is available for up to 30 days in the future.

How to Search the Calendar

The online calendars can be searched in several ways.

Schedule Filters

The Schedule Filters in the left pane let you narrow the list of hearings that are displayed. Depending on the calendar, you can filter by items such as:

  • Date or date range
  • Judge(s)
  • Attorney(s)
  • Include or exclude Chapter 13 Panels or 341 Meetings on the Bankruptcy calendar

Select one or more filters, then click Apply to display only the hearings that meet your criteria. Click Reset at any time to clear the filters and return to the selected calendar's default settings.

Search field

Use the Search field to quickly find hearings in the currently displayed schedule. Type text to search for such as:

  • Case number
  • Party name
  • Hearing type

Schedule Column Headers

The Schedule column headers help you organize and review calendar information.

  • Select a column heading (such as Date, Time, Judge, or Case Number) to sort the calendar in ascending or descending order. Select the same column heading again to reverse the sort order. Select the same column heading a third time to clear the sort for that column.
  • On any column heading, select the filter icon. In the Filter popup, enter your filter criteria for that column then select Apply. You can add multiple filters. To remove a filter, select the filter icon then select Clear.
  • To group similar hearings together, use the column anchor (3 vertical dots) as a handle to drag a column heading to the grouping area above the calendar. For example, dragging the Judge column groups all hearings by judge, while dragging the Date column groups hearings by date. You can remove a grouping by clicking the X next to the group name.

If you are unable to locate a hearing, verify that you are searching the correct court (District or Bankruptcy), confirm your spelling or case number, and remember that recently scheduled hearings or last-minute changes may not appear immediately.
