Judge Bajew serves as a United States Magistrate Judge for the Laredo Division of the Southern District of Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History in 2010 from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. In 2015, he obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland’s Francis King Carey School of Law in Baltimore, Maryland. From 2014 until 2016, he served as a law clerk in the Homicide Unit of the Office of the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City, before then becoming an Assistant State’s Attorney for the same office in 2016.

Beginning in 2019, Judge Bajew served for nearly seven years as an Assistant United States Attorney within the Criminal Division in Laredo, with the last two and a half years spent in the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF).

On June 13, 2025, Judge Bajew was appointed as a Magistrate Judge in Laredo.
