FRAUD ALERT: Always verify cases and court documents through PACER or by contacting one of the Divisional Offices listed on the Court’s website if you have questions about any Orders or Notices claiming to be from the Court. The United States District and Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas will never request personal or financial information by phone or email. If you receive a suspicious or threatening communication, do not provide any information – contact a Divisional Office immediately and consider reporting the incident to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
The Judicial Conference has approved changes to the federal court miscellaneous fee schedules. Effective December 1, 2013, the following changes will take effect:
1. The filing fee for an appeal to a Court of Appeals will increase by $50, for a new total of $505.
