Public Notice: Judge Wesley Steen will be retiring from the bench

Effective January 17, 2011, Judge Wesley Steen will be retiring from the bench of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.  Judge Steen’s cases will be reallocated on January 17, 2011.

 

1.        Houston Main Cases, along with all pending associated Adversary Cases, will be

           transferred according to the last digit of their case numbers:

                        0, 1 and 2            Judge Isgur

                        3, 4 and 5            Judge Bohm

                        6 and 7                Judge Brown

                        8 and 9                Judge Paul

 

2.        Laredo Main Cases will be transferred to Judge Schmidt

 

3.        Laredo Adversary Cases will be transferred to Chief Judge Isgur

 

4.        Victoria Main Cases, along with all pending associated Adversary Cases, will be

           transferred to Judge Bohm

 

Parties requesting hearing dates after January 17, 2011 will receive settings on the calendar of the newly assigned judge. 

 

Motions for relief from stay will continue to be self calendared.  Hearing dates for these motions, for all judges, can be obtained from Judge Steen’s home page.
