Gregory P. Joseph

Bio Information

Gregory P. Joseph is a past President of the American College of Trial Lawyers (2010-11), Chair of the Section of Litigation of the American Bar Association (1997-98), and member of the Advisory Committee on the Federal Rules of Evidence (1993-99). He served as President of the Supreme Court Historical Society (2011-17) and currently is Chair of its Board of Trustees (2018-). He is the author of three treatises: SANCTIONS: THE FEDERAL LAW OF LITIGATION ABUSE (5th ed. 2013; 6th ed. forthcoming); CIVIL RICO: A DEFINITIVE GUIDE (5th ed. 2018); and MODERN VISUAL EVIDENCE (1984; Supp. 2018). His books and articles have been cited in more than 250 judicial opinions and 350 law review articles. He is a member of the Editorial Board of MOORE’S FEDERAL PRACTICE and of the Council of the American Law Institute. He practices at Joseph Hage Aaronson LLC in New York.
