Judicial Interns

The forms indicated below should be completed and returned to Human Resources at least two weeks prior to your first day. Documents may be emailed to hr_sdtx@txs.uscourts.gov. If you would prefer to provide your documents to us via secure upload to Box.com, or if you have any questions, please email Human Resources.

  • Intern Gratuitous Services Waiver & PACER Info. Interns will not have access to the court’s network unless specifically requested by the judge. If you have a PACER account, or would like to sign up for one, include your PACER username and password on this form and we can waive the associated fees during your internship. If you do not already have a PACER account, follow these instructions to sign up for one. Additionally, please review the IT Appropriate Use and Security for Public Access Interns for intern security requirements.
  • I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. Complete and sign Section 1 on the first page. You will be required to produce the documents requested in Section 2. This is typically your passport or driver's license and Social Security card. If you do not have the described documents, please review page 3 of the form for a list of other acceptable forms of identification. If you have questions about the required identification documents listed above, please email us at hr_sdtx@txs.uscourts.gov.
  • Fingerprinting: Interns in Houston and Galveston will be fingerprinted by Human Resources in Houston. Interns in Laredo, McAllen, Brownsville, and Corpus Christi will be fingerprinted in their respective division. Fingerprinting should be done no later than your first day; however, in advance of your first day is preferable. Click the hyperlinked division name to schedule your fingerprinting appointment. Interns will not be issued ID cards.
