David Beck

David Beck, Beck Redden
David J. Beck, was a founding partner of Beck Redden, L.L.P. He was formerly a senior partner of Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P. He has been named by the National Law Journal as one of the top 10 trial lawyers in the United States, and one of the top trial lawyers in the Southwest. From November of 2003–2017, a statewide survey by Texas Monthly Magazine named him as one of Texas’ “Top 10 Super Lawyers.” He has been named one of “The Best Lawyers in America” by Woodward & White since the inception of the publication in 1990, and is currently one of the few attorneys listed in eight areas of practice. In the 25th Anniversary issue of the Texas Lawyer, he was named as one of “The 25 Greatest Lawyers in Texas” for the past quarter-century. He is a Past President of the State Bar of Texas and the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and a Diplomate in the American Board of Trial Advocates (“ABOTA”). Mr. Beck previously served as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Center for American and International Law (2011-2015). In 2004, United States Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist appointed Mr. Beck to the prestigious United States Judicial Conference Standing Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure, and in 2007, Chief Justice John Roberts re-appointed him to another three-year term. Among his many honors and awards, he received the American Inns of Court Professionalism Award at the Fifth Circuit Judicial Conference in May 2011, the Luke H. Soules III Award for Excellence by the Litigation by the State Bar Litigation Section in 2016, and was named one of 50 “Lions of the Texas Bar” in 2017 by The Texas Lawbook.
