Belinda Beek is a graduate of Texas A&M University and the University of Texas School of Law. After a four-year stint at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office followed by six years as a civil lawyer and partner at the law firm of Mills, Shirley, Eckel and Basset, she joined the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas in 2002 as part of then President George Bush’s Corporate Fraud Task Force. She served several years as Senior Litigation Counsel for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and has been lead counsel in numerous large-scale fraud cases in the Southern District of Texas.
