Kathleen Sullivan

Kathleen Sullivan, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan
Kathleen M. Sullivan is partner in the law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, where she heads the national appellate practice. She was previously Professor of Law at Harvard and Stanford Law Schools and served as the eleventh Dean of Stanford Law School. Her academic expertise is in constitutional law. She has argued eleven times in the US Supreme Court and litigated hundreds of appeals and motions in federal district courts and courts of appeals as well as in multiple state high courts. Ms. Sullivan holds a B.A. from Cornell University, an M.A. from Oxford University, which she attended as a Marshall Scholar, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she won the Ames Moot Court competition. She was a law clerk to Judge James L. Oakes on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
