Judge George C. Hanks, Jr. Appointed United States District Judge, Galveston and Victoria Divisions

United States District Judge George C. Hanks, Jr. was nominated by Barack Obama on January 7, 2015, to a seat vacated by Nancy F. Atlas. He was confirmed by the Senate on April 20, 2015, and received his commission on April 22, 2015. Judge Hanks was administered the oath of office on April 23, 2015. He will serve in the Galveston and Victoria Divisions of the Southern District of Texas.
