Judicial Support - Civil and Criminal Docketing

The civil docket section maintains a docket sheet, with brief entries summarizing all proceedings and instruments in that case; in addition to notifying parties affected by orders entered by the court. Each docket clerk handles two digits which are determined by the last digit in the case number. For example, case numbers ending in digits 1 or 2 are handled by one docket clerk. All questions pertaining to the status of these cases should be referred to the receptionist at extension 5786. The civil docket has been converted to an Integrated Case Management System and all cases filed as of June 1, 1990, are fully automated.

The criminal section utilizes an Integrated Case Management System for opening new criminal cases, and maintaining an automated docket of all proceedings in each case, which in turn aids case managers in monitoring speedy trial deadlines. All warrants, criminal subpoenas and summonses are issued from this section. The criminal section also maintains attorney names, addresses, bail bond information, jail lists, etc.
